Job Summary

Role: Psychologist Mumbai
Experience: 1 years

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Psychologist you will be placed in an Observation Home or Childrens Home or Youth Community Center in Mumbai. You will be responsible for servicing the Mental Health and Psychosocial needs of the children. You will be the building block of the organisations vision of making these homes a child-friendly place as per the Juvenile Justice Act 2015. This is a full-time position based in Mumbai and requires sensitive passionate and committed candidates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create the Child Guidance Clinic inside the institutions and the Youth Community Center as a safe place for children.
Conduct individual counselling group and therapy-based interventions with children youth and their families and administer psychological assessments.
Submit counselling reports to the Child Welfare Committee and Juvenile Justice Board as per the requirement.
Identify and support children and youth who require special attention and care.
Closely work and coordinate with key stakeholders - staff of the institution like Superintendent Probation Officers Housemasters Guards members of the Child Welfare Committee the Juvenile Justice board and other stakeholders in the system.
Coordinate with the organisations Social Worker with regard to the children for support and supervision.
Collect data create reports write blogs and document the journeys of children and young people on the organisations internal data collection system

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Applicants shall have a minimum of 1 years of experience working with children.
A Masters Degree in Psychology (clinical or counselling)
Proficiency in Hindi English and Proficiency in Marathi is an added advantage.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Gmail Google Drive Google Docs etc.).
