What youll be doing

The Internal Audit Intern will be responsible for delivering core audit services and work as part of a multi-skilled audit team to conduct risk-focused audits of various business processes & operations. This individual will identify internal control weaknesses and advise clients of efficiency or effectiveness opportunities. Through day to day activities the Internal Audit Intern will also actively demonstrate support for CIBCs purpose to help make client and employee ambitions a reality.

  • Work with team members to plan and/or conduct risk-based audits identifying potential control weaknesses that may prevent a business from meeting its objectives.

  • Take accountability and ownership of all assigned tasks from start to finish.

  • Collaborate directly with clients identify and address client needs through building relationships with clients actively participate in client discussions and meetings.

  • Prepare concise accurate documents and balance project management with the occurrence of unanticipated issues; demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks; and communicate potential conflicts to leadership.

  • You must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education to be eligible for this role. However you do not need to be in a registered Co-Op program.
