About the role

Shape Hobarts Future - Lead Innovate Deliver

This role contributes to the city by providing high level oversight of the delivery of the Citys capital works program through the support of a multidisciplinary team that can provide end to end project delivery outcomes including overall management and support for the development of robust project scopes project design survey services and project construction.

In this pivotal leadership role you will

  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of a $35M capital works program from robust project scoping and design to construction and completion.
  • Champion innovation sustainability and best practice ensuring every project enhances Hobarts vibrancy livability and future growth.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders advocate for the community and align every project with the Citys strategic vision and the aspirations of Greater Hobart 2050.
  • Inspire a culture of excellence collaboration and continuous improvement mentoring your team and setting the standard for service and leadership.
  • Enjoy the autonomy to drive outcomes manage significant budgets and represent the City at the highest level.

Essentials for the role:

  • Bachelor Degree or higher in Civil Engineering or related discipline with relevant experience.
  • Current Driver Licence.
  • Senior leadership experience overseeing large-scale infrastructure or capital works programs.
  • Deep knowledge of project governance risk procurement and contract management.
  • Strong financial acumen with a history of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • A commitment to innovation continuous improvement and service excellence.
