Job Overview: Join the Responsible Sourcing & Sustainable Capabilities (RSSC) team and lead the advancement of key capabilities and projects across our portfolio. Your influence will drive business growth and grow brand love and loyalty through responsible and sustainable products that reflect our values. And youll support business resilience and continuity of supply through responsible and compliant supply chains.

In this role you will enable Target Owned Brands to evolve and modernize their capabilities by managing projects that ensure we are compliant sustainable and responsible at every turn. You will identify opportunities to drive operational excellence governance and systems controls and change management across Owned Brand & Enterprise initiatives. This position focuses on orchestrating cross-functional efforts centralizing communication and building scalable processes that unlock productivity sustainability and cost optimization. Acting as a capability enabler youll streamline project efforts build capabilities and critical process integrations. Leverage your skills knowledge and modern tools as you support the delivery of solutions that not only meet but proactively anticipate business needs aligned with our Target Forward sustainability strategy regulatory compliance and risk mitigation and enterprise efficiency.

As a Sr. Project Manager you will deliver:

Capability Development & Maturity

  • Assess relevant capability trends and benchmark capability maturity across the Owned Brand model for responsible and sustainable product development and supply chain management.
  • Translate standards policies and SOPs into system requirements aligned with business and product development models.
  • Evaluate system features and functionality to ensure fit-for-purpose against our Responsible and Sustainable capability requirements.
  • Help teams anticipate road-blocks and make informed decisions when trade offs are required.
  • Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies to reduce risks disruption and maintain momentum.
  • Track progress through clear success measures with high visibility - monitoring adoption and assuring accountability.

Process development optimization and systems requirements

  • Work across RSSC experts OB teams UX designers and Enterprise Risk to develop and document process workflows rules and logic that support the integration of responsible and sustainable standards policies and commitments in the business and product development model.
  • Identify strategic opportunities for efficiency and optimization within compliance processes and business integrations
  • Translate RSSC programs requirements and Target Forward commitments to inform rules logic and workflows for technology applications across the enterprise.
  • Develop and maintain end-to-end system reliance maps and program dependencies across the technology ecosystem in partnership with product teams
  • Develop and maintain proof packs for key integrations of sustainability across our commercial team.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Build strong partnerships across Target Owned Brand teams - design brand sourcing raw materials packaging supply planning and business operations to foster alignment and shared ownership.
  • Partner with Enterprise Risk and Compliance and Merch Capabilities teams where relevant.
  • Enable agility by creating collaboration mechanisms that adapt to shifting priorities and business needs and deliver on capability maturity objectives.

Change management support & advocacy

  • Build advocacy with business leaders to serve as champions.
  • Craft messaging which connects tactical work to strategic outcomes ensuring clarity and alignment across audiences.
  • Guide teams through change by applying practical frameworks.
  • Serve as the central hub for consistent transparent communication across RSSC teams Owned Brand Tech & Data Merch Capabilities product teams.

About you:

  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
  • 8 year experience in business or operational roles with an emphasis on project leadership process development or improvement and system integrations and rollouts. Preferences for project management or six sigma certifications.
  • Systems thinker with strong abilities for process mapping documentation and workflow design across system applications.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams or cross-functional projects fostering collaboration and shared ownership.
  • Strong critical thinking problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with end-to-end product development models and global manufacturing.
  • Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Comfortable experimenting with AI agent development
  • Values diverse perspectives and is committed to fostering inclusion.
  • Understanding of PLMs Supplier Management Ariba InforNexus Bamboo Rose and common risk and compliance tools is a plus.

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Targets needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team members core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually depending upon what your role team and tasks require for that day.
