We are seeking a committed and creative Head of Drama to provide strong leadership for the department inspire high-quality teaching and learning and promote Drama as a vibrant and valued subject across the school. The successful candidate will combine excellent subject knowledge with the ability to motivate students and support colleagues to achieve outstanding outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Drama department ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.

• Develop and implement an engaging ambitious Drama curriculum across KS3KS4 (and KS5 where applicable).

• Support mentor and inspire colleagues within the department.

• Monitor student progress assessment and outcomes to drive continuous improvement.

• Promote extracurricular Drama activities including productions and performances.

• Contribute to the wider life culture and leadership of the school.

Essential Requirements

• A degree in Drama or a related subject.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE.

• Proven experience teaching Drama at secondary level.

• Evidence of leadership or readiness to step into a middle leadership role.

• A passion for Drama and a commitment to student success.
