Job Summary
Orka Financial is working in partnership with a well-established business based in Reading that is looking to recruit a Junior Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stages of their finance career who is keen to develop their skills gain hands-on experience and progress within a supportive and collaborative finance team.
The Junior Accountant will support the day-to-day activities of the wider finance function while studying towards a professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA).
Key Responsibilities:
The Junior Accountant will support the day-to-day activities of the wider finance function while studying towards a professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily support to the finance team across a range of accounting activities
- Assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Contribute to the month-end close including reporting and management information preparation
- Learn to implement and maintain robust financial controls and processes
- Prepare key management reports as part of the month-end reporting cycle
- Support internal stakeholders across the business
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register
- Gain exposure to a variety of finance functions
- Provide ad hoc support to senior members of the finance team
- Eager to start or continue a career in finance
- Interested in studying towards ACCA or CIMA
- Strong attention to detail with a willingness to learn
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUPs
