At Fortinet we deliver cybersecurity solutions with speed innovation and operational excellence. The Deal Desk function is a critical enabler of this mission empowering Sales to win complex enterprise opportunities while ensuring disciplined execution compliance and scalability.
Fortinets Deal Desk goes beyond traditional pricing or deal support. It provides structured cross-functional leadership for non-standard and high-complexity enterprise transactions enabling Sales teams to remain focused on customer engagement while internal processes are managed efficiently and transparently.
The Deal Desk Manager will demonstrate strong ownership of deal execution across the EMEA region partnering closely with Sales and internal stakeholders to structure review and close Fortinets complex enterprise agreements. This role requires a leader who acts with urgency influences without authority drives accountability and consistently delivers results aligned with Fortinets business objectives and customer commitments.
Responsibilities:
- Own the executionof complex enterprise transactions partnering with Sales within the Sales Finance organization to structure and close multi-country and global deals.
- Act with urgency and accountabilityto coordinate deal engagement across pricing approvals legal and contractual review revenue recognition order management and other key teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionallyto gather input align stakeholders remove obstacles and drive timely deal outcomes.
- Enable Sales productivityby designing implementing and continuously improving lean Deal Desk processes that scale with the business.
- Support disciplined decision-makingby advising on non-standard deal structures quote approvals and commercial exceptions.
- Serve as a trusted escalation pointfor Fortinets most strategic and complex opportunities ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and professionally.
- Drive accountabilityacross the full deal lifecycle ensuring adherence to policies financial controls and execution standards.
- Influence at a senior levelto gain alignment and support for necessary process pricing or policy improvements.
- Hold peers and partners accountablewhile fostering a culture of respect transparency and results.
- Build and scale a high-performing Deal Desk function establishing best practices and enabling long-term success.
Required Skills & Experience
- 510 years of experience supporting global organizations including operating within or leading a Deal Desk function and managing complex contractual negotiations.
- Strong understanding of enterprise hardware and software selling models including subscription SaaS term perpetual consumption and on-demand structures.
- Solid knowledge of revenue recognition principles and their impact on deal design and execution.
- Demonstratedbias for actionand creative problem-solving mindset to address complex commercial challenges while balancing risk and opportunity.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems to manage deal workflows and data accuracy.
- Proven ability to take ownership proactively identify issues and drive resolution in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure prioritize competing demands and adapt to change.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.
- Highly detail-oriented responsive and committed to operational excellence.
