Join our Sustainable Planning and Strategy team in the Conservation Planning and Offsets Divisionat DCCEEW.

Are you ready to drive projects and programs that shape the future of environmental planning in NSW Were looking for someone who fosters a culture of collaboration and is ready to tackle emerging challenges that require deep knowledge of NSW planning framework and environmental policy.

We are a welcoming supportive and geographically dispersed team that delivers biodiversity planning and assessment operational policy and guidance. We work closely with stakeholders to achieve consistent strategic approaches to sustainable planning outcomes.

As a Senior Program Officer youll:

  • Develop and implement operational policy and guidance related to environmental planning to improve conservation outcomes
  • Manage programs that deliver successful planning and conservation outcomes
  • Contribute to organisational input into land use planning matters
  • Provide strategic advice on complex statutory and environmental policy
  • Interpret legislative reforms and drive implementation of required changes
  • Detect and navigate emerging challenges and deliver creative practical solutions
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal teams to achieve shared goals strategic outcomes and consistency across the department
  • Build strong partnerships with local and state government industry and community stakeholders to enhance collaboration cooperation and negotiation.
