Qualifications:
Education Licenses and Training
- Graduate of an accredited Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineer program is required.
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) Category M license is required.
- Type endorsement training on Jazzoperated CRJ900 DHC8400 and/or E175 aircraft is required.
- Transport Canada Endorsement on CRJ900 DHC-8-400 and/or E175 is required.
- Safety Management System training is considered an asset.
- Six Sigma Green Belt training is considered an asset.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 2 years experience as a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) with an endorsement on Jazz Aviation fleet types.
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products specifically Excel Word and Outlook.
- Excellent Statistical analysis and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication skills and Fluency in English (Extensive knowledge of the language without restriction)

Purpose of the Position:
Provide Technical support and drive aircraft recovery action plans. Champion aircraft reliability as well as identify safety efficiency and cost improvement opportunities. Support these recommendations with statistical analysis.
Key Deliverables:
- Manage aircraft reliability and daily aircraft out-of-service events.
- Actively participate in troubleshooting activities to return aircraft to service in a safe cost-effective and timely fashion.
- Develop reporting functions to support oversight of aircraft recovery measures.
- Produce Reliability Reports to highlight challenges obstacles and efforts undertaken as part of continuous improvement initiatives (i.e. improvement or implementation of best practices).
- Conduct alert analyses to identify aircraft components flight operations and/or ground operations that exceed thresholds established in aircraft maintenance manuals.
- Provide ad-hoc reports upon request from internal departments (Finance Fleet Management etc.) to substantiate direct aircraft maintenance costs and assess maintainability.
- Participate in OEM and vendor working groups as well as industry task forces to further enhance aircraft reliability and performance.
- Manage the effectiveness of aircraft programs by evaluating task frequency against aircraft outofservice events and/or component failure rates.
- Ensure data integrity by verifying the consistency and accuracy of operational summary reports and component monitoring systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by participating in Six Sigma projects and providing data to support optimization efforts.
