Role

The Project Manager supports the structured delivery of cross-functional IT initiatives ensuring alignment with Calderys IT governance architecture security and PMO standards. Acting as a key interface between business and IT the role ensures effective coordination transparent communication and disciplined execution across assigned projects and programs.
Depending on business needs the Project Manager may manage medium-sized IT projects end to end or provide governance reporting and delivery support for larger programs contributing to consistent outcomes and strong stakeholder engagement within a structured PMO environment.

Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Governance

  • Coordinate and support IT workstreams within cross-functional initiatives and programs.
  • Ensure alignment with IT governance architecture standards security requirements and PMO methodology.
  • Act as the primary IT point of contact for business stakeholders on assigned initiatives.
  • Support or manage end-to-end delivery of IT projects including planning execution and closure.
  • Prepare and support stage-gate reviews documentation and formal sign-offs.
  • Maintain and actively manage RAID (risks actions issues dependencies decisions).
  • Coordinate internal and external IT teams to ensure timely and quality delivery.
  • Represent IT in business-led initiatives with significant technology components.
  • Prepare governance materials meeting packs minutes action logs and structured status reporting for senior stakeholders.

Reporting Stakeholder & Financial Management

  • Provide clear regular project and program updates to IT and business leadership.
  • Support and facilitate project governance and steering committee meetings.
  • Consolidate and communicate progress risks and decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support budget management including capex/opex tracking cost forecasting and variance analysis in collaboration with Finance and PMO.
  • Contribute to monthly quarterly annual and multi-year IT budget planning for active initiatives.

PMO Processes Tools & On-Demand Support

  • Maintain and enhance PMO tools templates RAID logs and reporting dashboards (Excel Power BI).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of PMO governance and delivery practices.
  • Provide ad-hoc project management support for smaller initiatives or capacity gaps ensuring consistent documentation planning and reporting.
  • Support alignment of project deliverables with overall program and business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in information technology Business Computer Science or a related field.

  • 37 years of experience in project management PMO or program support within IT or businessIT environments.

  • Proven experience managing or supporting cross-functional initiatives involving both business and IT stakeholders.

  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies lifecycle management and stage-gate governance.

  • Experience with structured RAID financial tracking and enterprise governance frameworks.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to structure ambiguity and drive clarity.

  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a dynamic environment.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across all organizational levels.

  • Fluent in Hungarian and English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel Word PowerPoint) and reporting tools preferably Power BI.

  • Experience level: Mid-level to early senior Project Manager with exposure to small and medium-sized IT initiatives and support of larger programs.
