Production Unit Manager
Your role
- Ensure strong synergy between Manufacturing Engineering and Production Operations
- Drive service excellence in a 3-shift manufacturing environment
- Improve quality speed and cost-efficiency of Maintenance & Service execution
- Ensure on-time in-full production of cables and semi-finished goods in defined quality cost and safety standards
- Provide technical and disciplinary leadership to the PU Cable and Maintenance & Service teams
- Plan and manage resources for PU Cable and Maintenance & Service team
- Develop team skills assign tasks evaluate performance
- Clearly communicate strategy and objectives
- Implement global PU & Maintenance processes locally
- Ensure compliance with standards procedures and documentation
- Execute production plans in cooperation with SCM
- Provide the required capacity (people machines tools fixtures)
- Support product transfers troubleshooting rework and evaluations
- Successfully support and stabilize a new production process during product transfers
- Manage operational and departmental costs in cooperation with Controlling
- Conduct strategic service location planning with top management
- Achieve agreed KPIs and the approved budget
- Lead Lean initiatives in maintenance and production service processes
- Identify and eliminate waste (downtime scrap over-processing waiting time)
- Improve productivity equipment uptime and service response times
- Implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
- Apply data-driven decision making and root-cause problem solving methods
- Introduce standardized work visual management and KPI transparency
- Motivate operators and technicians to embrace in Lean thinking and continuous improvement
Expectations
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering with relevant experience in electronics and electrical engineering or with a secondary-level qualification in electrical engineering and relevant experience
- Experience in a technical production service or maintenance department
- Strong preventive maintenance and problem-solving skills
- First leadership experience
- Proven experience in efficiency improvement or Lean projects
- Business-fluent English and Hungarian
