Job Summary

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Automation Lead to spearhead our end-to-end UI and backend automation strategy. The ideal candidate will design and architect scalable automation frameworks while providing technical leadership to offshore automation engineers. This role requires a strong background in Java and a deep understanding of automation best practices particularly within the banking or financial services sector.

Responsibilities:

Lead the development and implementation of UI and backend automation strategies.
Design and architect scalable automation frameworks.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to offshore automation engineers.
Define automation standards best practices and coding guidelines.
Review automation scripts to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
Coordinate with onsite stakeholders product owners and developers to identify automation scope and prepare an automation roadmap.
Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines.
Manage automation-related risks blockers and escalations.
Provide regular status updates and metrics to leadership.

Mandatory Skills:

Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
Expertise in Java and automation framework design.
Experience using IntelliJ IDEA.
Strong knowledge of Maven build and dependency management.
Experience in UI and backend/API automation.
Knowledge of test frameworks (TestNG / Cucumber).
Experience working in banking or financial services projects.
Strong understanding of test automation best practices.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitHub Actions etc.).
Experience with API testing tools (REST Assured Postman).
Database validation using SQL.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
