The role

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Coordinator Injury Management to lead a team of Injury Management and allied health professionals working closely with safety and wellbeing specialists to develop and deliver case management support and design and implement proactive and preventive health safety and wellbeing projects and programs to reduce injury illness and risk to our people.

This role provides strategic advice and direction regarding work-related and non-work-related injury and illness management to senior leaders overseeing a team that manages a complex portfolio of physical and psychological claims. A large focus of the role is on strategic leadership.

What you will bring to the role

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with team members.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to navigate complex challenges and adapt to evolving situations.
  • Capable of driving outcomes while effectively involving stakeholders throughout the process fostering collaboration and buy-in.
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with diverse stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage sensitive and complex injury management matters with professionalism discretion and a strong commitment to employee wellbeing.
  • Proven ability to influence and coach managers employees and external providers to embed early intervention practices and support effective recovery at work outcomes.

What is an essential requirement:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Injury Management and/or Workers Compensation ideally in a workplace setting and possess prior people leadership experience
  • Tertiary qualifications as an allied health professional or in a relevant health discipline such as behavioural and social sciences physiotherapy occupational therapy rehabilitation counselling exercise physiology or in a related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • RTW Coordinator Accreditation or equivalent and extensive knowledge of workers compensation legislation
