Operations Specialist

• Assist in the planning and execution of daily farm operations including planting cultivation harvesting and processing.
• Monitor and track operational performance identifying areas for improvement.
• Coordinate with farm supervisors and field officers to ensure efficient resource allocation and task execution.
• Support the implementation of operational procedures and best practices.
• Assist in the management of farm inputs including seeds fertilizers and pesticides.
• Coordinate logistics for the transport of harvested cassava and other farm products.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely procurement of supplies.
• Collect and analyze operational data preparing reports on key performance indicators.
• Maintain accurate records of farm activities including production data resource usage and maintenance logs.
• Utilize data to identify trends and inform operational decisions.
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of farm equipment and machinery.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure timely repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist in the documentation of operational procedures and compliance records.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications :

• Diploma or bachelors degree in agriculture Operations Management Business Administration or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in farm operations logistics or a related field.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint).  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  
• Knowledge of agricultural practices and farm equipment is a plus.
• Ability to adapt to changing conditions and learn new techniques.
