Job Summary

The City of Missions Parks Recreation & Culture Department is seeking energetic and motivated individuals with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to fill part-time Lifeguard/Instructor 1 positions.

You will be responsible for lifeguarding teaching lessons and performing maintenance duties in the pool area. You must enjoy interacting with children and adults and be able to effectively deal with disruptive behaviour.


Qualifications :

You will have National Lifeguard Pool certification; Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor-Swim for Life and Canadian Swim Patrol; CPR Level C certification (including AED). You must be a minimum of 16 years of age.


Additional Information :

The 2025 hourly rate of pay for this CUPE position is $28.79 plus a percentage in lieu of all benefits. Sunday availability is a requirement as this position will be working Sundays in addition to some weekdays Saturdays and Statutory Holidays. Shifts will vary between mornings afternoons and evenings.
