Job Summary

The Retail Sales Representative role is responsible for maximizing revenue and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout retail locations in an established territory. Key responsibilities include training coaching and driving sales revenue across Millwork In-Home and Pro sales departments. The Retail Sales Representative will manage account relationships and provide support for the full Fiberon/Therma-Tru/Fypon product line. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with enhanced multi-tasking abilities and strong communication organizational and analytical skills.

  • Grow top-line sales within assigned territory across several product lines.
  • Develop a strategic approach to calling on accounts with a focus on identifying impactful growth opportunities.
  • Develop and execute effective sales training programs with a focus on brand differentiators and premium sales growth.   
  • Take ownership of the territory assigned by building relationships with the key store sales associates and Management. 
  • Ensure all new and remerchandised stores are set on schedule with appropriate displays signage and pricing.
  • Drive Pro Business by developing relationships with Retail Pro Associates partnering with distributor sales teams to call on focus stores and implement focused sales programs building brand awareness and participating in retail Pro-Events.
  • Drive R&R revenue by developing and supporting Retail In-Home Sales Consultants
  • Manage a travel and expense budget as appropriate while effectively meeting territory sales goals.
  • Build and nurture positive relationships with distributor partners to facilitate achievement of team goals.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop and implement sales messaging new product recommendations and POP changes.
  • Work with Customer Service to facilitate completion of claim inspections and recommend corrective action/resolution.
  • Recommend changes to ensure proper in-aisle stock assortment to maximize sales.
  • Ensure merchandising standards are being met on each visit.
  • Other duties as assigned by leader.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in business sales or a related field preferred (not required).

  • Sales experience preferred.

  • Background in millwork or decking is a plus.

  • Ability to travel overnight 25%40%.

  • Fieldbased role requiring regular daily local travel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Associates degree in Sales or Marketing (compensation aligned to scope).

  • Understanding of the sales process and sales cycle.

  • Strong client and customer relationship skills.

  • Experience in building materials preferred.

  • Familiarity with quality processes.


Additional Information :

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $55000 USD - $88000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range or be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to education training experience professional achievement business need and addition to base salary employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a role-based sales incentive plan.
