Job Summary
About the Role
We are seeking a technically skilled leaderideally a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or an Engineer-in-Training (EI/EIT) with solid hands-on experience in metal fabrication. This role centers on guiding an engineering group maintaining design accuracy and driving innovation. The Engineering Team Lead will evaluate existing product lines introduce improvements and develop new concepts that support cost-effective and efficient production.
Primary Duties
Direct the engineering group in both day-to-day activities and strategic initiatives.
Manage design workflows technical reviews and approval procedures to maintain quality and compliance.
Coordinate closely with fabrication teams project managers and quality personnel.
Enhance engineering processes documentation practices and overall technical performance.
Mentor designers and encourage skill growth across the department.
Uphold all safety regulatory and industry design standards.
Required Background
Active PE license or EI/EIT status with at least 5 years of supervised experience under a licensed PE.
At least 5 years of professional experience in metal fabrication or a closely related field.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage technical projects.
Strong organizational abilities and a goal-oriented approach to leadership.
Successful completion of the FE exam (EI/EIT).
Preferred Experience
Prior management experience within engineering teams in fabrication or construction settings.
Working knowledge of CAD tools and structural design software.
Excellent communication skills and strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
