Job Title- Engineering Project Technician
Location - Rochester NY (Onsite)
Type - Full Time (W2)
Key Responsibilities
-
Assemble operate and maintain pilot-scale food processing equipment and machinery
-
Set up calibrate and manage sensors and data acquisition (DAQ) systems for process monitoring
-
Perform equipment testing validation and process trials
-
Troubleshoot mechanical electrical and instrumentation issues
-
Support integration of automation control systems and new instrumentation
-
Develop SOPs work instructions and technical documentation
-
Collect organize and report experimental and operational data
-
Collaborate with engineers food scientists and cross-functional teams
-
Build prototypes fixtures and perform electrical wiring or panel assembly as needed
Required Skills & Experience -
3 years of hands-on experience in engineering labs pilot plants or food/industrial processing environments
-
Strong mechanical assembly piping and instrumentation experience
-
Knowledge of electrical wiring sensors and control panels (thermocouples preferred)
-
Experience with DAQ tools such as LabVIEW Dewesoft or similar systems
-
Understanding of food safety standards (GMP HACCP USDA 3-A)
-
Strong troubleshooting analytical and documentation skills
