Size and functions of local team: 35 Mendix consultants; commercial function supported externally by Dynamic Whale
Role description:
Senior BDR supported by an external lead gen agency you will have 6 discovery calls booked for you each week. Qualify work directly with the founder and work directly with the founder to help move pipeline through the funnel.
Owns discovery calls from inbound and sourced leads (6 per week)
Conducts discovery qualifies opportunities manages next steps sends recaps
Maintains and progresses opportunities in pipeline sometimes through to close
Some strategic outbound: focused on key target accounts not high volume cold-calling
Weekly PG day: account research persona targeting
Collaborates closely with external sales advisors (Dynamic Whale)
Reports indirectly to Martijn (founder) with day-to-day support from Jamal and Jovan
Interfaces with strategic partners like Mendix and Lobster
Unique about the company:
Engineering-led company with deep roots in consulting
Strong customer references e.g. ASML Rabobank DSM
Commercial support is entirely outsourced this role is the internal bridge
High-trust low-politics culture with strong internal relationships
Founders are engaged but not commercially drivenBDR will bring that function to life
Growth perspective:
Fast-track to AE and potentially Head of Sales
Path not blocked by internal politicsprogress based on impact not seniority

Must haves:
12 years BDR/SDR experience - consultative sales processes
Strong discovery and qualification skills
Comfortable leading calls managing follow-ups and pushing deals forward
Intelligence with high coachability and grit
Cultural fit: humble low ego motivated to grow into AE
Nice to haves:
Understanding of or experience in the Mendix/Lobster ecosystem
Degree in business information management or related analytical field
Salary range & secondary benefits:
40k base 20k commission stretch to 50k base (incl) possible
No immediate car allowance but open to discussion long term
