Position Summary
Provide integrated reception services using a person-centred approach as well as clerical support for the Ontario Works department.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Receptionist:
Perform reception services such as connecting members of the public to the right service.
Addressing inquiries as well as obtaining information and supporting documentation.
Complete various clerical duties such as data entry filing scanning and processing mail.
Use the provincial database as well as other relevant technologies to complete the various responsibilities of this position.
General:
Incumbents must keep up-to-date on all relevant legislation collective bargaining agreements County Policies and Procedures etc. ensuring that these are implemented as prescribed
Incumbents must possess the physical ability to meet the duties and responsibilities of the job description and/or the requirements identified within the positions Physical Demands Analysis.

Credentials Required
Minimum Formal Education
Enrolled in a college level office administration program.
Completion of year 1 of a 2 year college level office administration program preferred.
Experience
Work and/or volunteer experience with office administration responsibilities in a social service office setting preferred
Summer Student positions with the County of Lambton may be dependent on funding and the funding criteria which specifies that students must:
Be between 15 and 30 years of age
Registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year and returning to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year
Canadian citizens permanent residents or have refugee protection status under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Will not have another full-time job
