Custodian / Custodial Technician

Reports to: Maintenance Manager FLSA Status: Hourly (Non-Exempt) Shift: 1st Shift

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to support our facility operations on 1st shift. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean safe and professional work environment across office production and common areas. The Custodian works closely with the Maintenance Manager and plays an important role in supporting daily operations employee safety and overall facility appearance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities (include but not limited to)

Clean and maintain offices restrooms breakrooms production areas and common spaces

Sweep mop vacuum floors; empty trash and recycling

Sanitize restrooms fixtures and high-touch surfaces

Restock paper products soap and cleaning supplies

Perform basic custodial inspections and report issues to the Maintenance Manager

Assist with light maintenance room setups spill response and special cleaning needs

Basic Qualifications (Education Experience Skills)

High school diploma or GED preferred

Prior custodial janitorial or housekeeping experience preferred

Ability to read write and speak English

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Strong attention to detail reliability and work ethic

Ability to perform physical job duties and work overtime as needed

What Will Put You Ahead

Experience in an industrial manufacturing or office facility

Light maintenance or facilities support experience

Familiarity with cleaning equipment and custodial best practices

Strong safety awareness and proactive communication skills

Experience working in a regulated or safety-focused environment
