Job Summary

Tesoro Group is seeking (1) experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team at (1) of their properties in Fargo ND (58103). The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years experience in residential maintenance experience with unit turns appliance repairs plumbing issues have knowledge of basic maintenance be self-motivated be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

This role will be working with (1) community that is 140 units and was built in 1994.

Salary: $24-25/hour DOQ. This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion).

Schedule: Monday Friday 9am 5pm (40 hours/week). On-call and weekend work requirement for unit turns as needed every 4-6 weeks after conversion.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

Maintains outside of buildings including repairs painting rescreening windows etc.
Keeps occupied units in good condition in compliance with all codes to maintain resident satisfaction and ready vacant units in the required time-frame including the repair and maintenance of appliances plumbing electrical and lighting systems heating and cooling systems walls and flooring sprinkler re-framing and hanging doors removal and disposal etc.
Replaces unit locks on rental units as necessary and on all turnovers outside doors and outbuildings and takes other steps as necessary to maintain security of premises.
Performs small motor repair and maintenance on equipment used in maintaining the buildings and grounds such as lawnmowers tractors snowblowers chainsaws and other power tools and equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions with electrical heating plumbing appliances and building equipment and using appropriate resources to correct problems.
Assist in periodic unit inspections to identify and address short-term repair needs and resident housekeeping and sanitation issues as well as long term capital and replacement needs of the property.
On-Call rotation of every 4-6 weeks

Qualifications and Experience:

2-3 years experience in residential maintenance unit turns work orders and preventative maintenance.
Work weekend and on-call requirements every 4-6 weeks.
Own your own basic tools.
Be able to pass a background check before employment.
Have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
