Position Summary:

Responsible for the development of welding techniques procedures application of welding equipment.

Incumbent will conduct research and development investigations to develop and test new fabrication processes and procedures while ensuring compliance with safety protocols and procedures during welding operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

Supervising and training staff in welding techniques and safety
Providing technical support to production staff and clients
Preparing and presenting technical reports and performance metrics
Coordinating with suppliers clients and staff for project completion
Conducting quality control of welding materials and final products
Ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget
Participate in cross-functional activities when required
Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health & safety Regulations and Organizational Health & Safety Policies and Procedures
Perform other related duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

5 years of experience as a welder-fitter.
Ability to read write and possess advanced mathematic skills
Ability to read understand and interpret blueprints schematic designs and weld symbols.
Experience working with lifting devices (Crane Lift Truck and other Lifting devices)

Skills Knowledge and Competencies:

Excellent Communication Skills
Good situational awareness.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; must have excellent problem-solving skills.
Team player consistently cooperative and enjoys working with others and collaborating well with all levels of employees.
