The Electronic Technician will conduct the assembly and fabrication of electrical electronic and mechanical components of equipment in support of the U.S. Navys Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) program on-base. This position will apply industry knowledge to perform operational tasks on a variety of equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct the assembly and fabrication of electrical electronic and/or mechanical components of equipment
Perform operational tasks including but not limited to operating mechanical machinery calibration equipment power tools and electronic tools
Perform routine work with limited to no supervision or instruction
Ability to take on new assignments with general instructions
Apply industry knowledge to various programs and projects ensuring successful completion
Use knowledge of industry standard policies procedures and practical applications to complete job tasks
Other duties as related to the business functions of FWG Solutions as assigned
Education:
High School Degree Required
Electronics education program or apprenticeship preferred
Licenses & Certifications:
Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain an interim clearance required
J-STD IPC 610 or 620 certification preferred
Experience:
2 years of experience as an electrical technician in the defense industry military or Department of Defense
Experience with soldering and rework techniques as well as with electronic diagnostic tools
Knowledge of electronic assembly fabrication including electronic circuit boards and integration of electronic components
Knowledge of the design of electronic systems and components
Knowledge of 5S and other Lean Manufacturing concepts
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to hold yourself and others accountable on short-term and long-term goals
Ability to install assemble and configure new electronic systems and components such as circuit boards or wiring
Ability to troubleshoot using diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and fix issues in electronic systems including testing debugging and performing quality control checks
Ability to analyze engineering drawings to determine the electronic fabrication requirements and layout of electronic assemblies
Ability to work independently and coordinate with engineering and quality control
Ability to work with various levels of personnel
Use of Microsoft Office software applications to include Word Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to work onsite 5 days per week with additional hours as required
