What you will do:
Reporting to the Manager Software development as a Senior Front-End Software Developer you will play a key role in shaping the digital experiences millions of guests enjoy across Cineplex and The Rec Room. Working with a collaborative product-led team you will use your expertise in web development to build modern high-impact web experiences influence product direction and bring new ideas to life within a supportive flexible and innovation-focused environment.
This is a remote position with the need to attend in-office meetings 1-2 times per month. Office location is 1303 Yonge Street Toronto.
Responsibilities
Lead support and mentor the development & designing of customized applications for direct use by our customers.
Own your work and drive results by managing priorities communicating progress and collaborating with your team throughout each project.
Expand your technical expertise by working with multiple technologies and applying them to innovative solutions.
Ensure quality and reliability through integration testing debugging and root cause analysis helping deliver products that exceed expectations.
Shape the future of our platform by contributing ideas sharing feedback and continuously improving throughout the development life cycle
Work closely with the Cineplex Architecture team to follow and evolve best practices that support smooth delivery and clear meaningful documentation
Share your expertise to uplift our frontend communityproviding technical leadership while partnering with Development Managers to support team growth and create meaningful upskilling opportunities for every developer
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field
4 years of hands-on React experience using your expertise to help shape and elevate our frontend experience
Strong front-end development skills with HTML CSS/SASS and JavaScript and a commitment to building accessible highquality user experiences.
Experience working with Git and modern accessibility tools and practices within collaborative development workflows.
Ability to integrate front-end applications with REST APIs including familiarity with OpenAPI specifications
Experience in an Agile development environment using tools like Jira to collaborate track work and keep projects moving smoothly is preferred.
Handson experience with contributing to modern scalable solutions is preferred
