Position Overview
We are seeking a driven and experienced Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join our growing litigation team. The ideal candidate will be a Texas-licensed attorney with demonstrated success in handling complex personal injury litigation including pre-suit investigation discovery motion practice settlement negotiation and trial preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a personal injury caseload from inception through resolution focusing on complex litigation matters.
- Conduct legal research draft pleadings motions briefs and legal memoranda.
- Lead written discovery take and defend depositions and participate in case strategy meetings.
- Engage in pre-trial preparation including evidentiary hearings and trial exhibits.
- Effectively negotiate with defense counsel and insurance carriers to secure favorable settlements.
- Maintain clear high-touch communication with clients experts and support staff.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategy and case development.
- Represent clients in court including hearings mediations and trials.
Qualifications
Required:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice in Texas in good standing.
- Minimum 35 years of experience in complex personal injury litigation with a track record of litigation involvement (depositions hearings negotiations trials).
- Strong legal writing analytical and oral advocacy skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Professional demeanor and commitment to client-centered representation.
Preferred:
- Experience with catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases.
- Trial experience and comfort in courtroom advocacy.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
