About the Role:
As an Associate Attorney in the Workers Compensation Department you will manage an assigned caseload from inception through resolution. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing workers compensation matters independently
- Taking and defending depositions
- Conducting witness interviews
- Handling written discovery and drafting responses
- Preparing and arguing motions
- Assisting with hearing and trial preparation
- Developing case strategy and providing client recommendations
This role is ideal for an attorney who is confident in litigation detail-oriented and eager to build long-term expertise in workers compensation defense.
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia
- Minimum of 2 years of workers compensation experience (defense experience preferred)
- Ability to manage a caseload independently
- Experience handling discovery including depositions written discovery and motion practice
- Trial experience is a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong legal research and writing skills
