Associate Attorney Workers Compensation)
About the Role:
As an Associate Attorney in the Workers Compensation Department you will manage your own assigned caseload while working alongside experienced litigators in a supportive and structured setting. This role offers substantial autonomy with the backing of a respected national platform.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a full workers compensation caseload from inception through resolution
- Conducting and defending depositions
- Handling general discovery matters including written discovery and witness interviews
- Drafting and arguing motions
- Preparing cases for hearings and trial
- Providing strategic analysis and recommendations to clients
This role is ideal for an attorney who is confident handling matters independently while also valuing mentorship collaboration and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing with the Florida Bar
- Minimum of 2 years of workers compensation experience (defense experience preferred)
- Ability to manage a caseload independently
- Experience handling discovery including depositions written discovery and motion practice
- Trial experience is a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Professional positive attitude with a team-oriented mindset
