Position Summary

The Physical Therapy Motion Analysis Lab at Rosalind Franklin University has an opening for a full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate to help lead projects in rehabilitation engineering and biomechanics. The novel design of the IRP enables academic researchers to reside in state-of-the-art laboratory space that is in close proximity to industry researchers on each floor of the 100000 sq. ft. building.   • Lead ongoing and future research projects.
  • Develop novel interventions for neurorehabilitation or fall prevention.
  • Lead manuscript writing and assist with grant writing.
  • Supervise lab interns and work-study students.

Conditions of Employment

Required Education & Experience

  • Ph.D. in engineering biomechanics rehabilitation science or related field.


Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Technical skills in motion analysis programming (MATLAB C or Python) and musculoskeletal modeling (OpenSim).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Research experience in balance wearable sensors or machine learning.
  • Experience in system design or robotics.
