Schedule: Early mornings required (typically 5:005:30 AM start); M-F work schedule Saturday and Sundays OFF

Thank you for taking the time to review the Assistant Operations Manager position at Christensen Recycling.
I want to share a bit of context about who we are and what were looking for because this is not a typical job and we are not a typical company.
Christensen Recycling is a fast-growing owner-led operation running 1015 trucks per day across New Jersey and surrounding states. Because we are not a large corporate bureaucracy leadership here is hands-on visible and directly involved in daily operations. The right person in this role will have real responsibility real influence and a direct path to long-term growth.
Reliability and commitment matter greatly to us.
This is an early-morning operations role. Our business starts early and consistency is critical. We are looking for someone who takes pride in being dependable prepared and present especially when others are still asleep. If you are someone who values discipline structure and accountability you will thrive here.

This role typically starts at 6:00 AM and finishes between 4:005:00 PM Monday through Friday only.
I built this company over the past 25 years growing it from a single pickup truck generating $50000 per year into a business now exceeding $10 million in annual revenue. I am now focused on building the next generation of leadership inside the company.
This role is designed to grow into an Operations Manager position for the right person.
Primary responsibilities include:
Answering inbound calls and dispatching jobs to active routes when trucks are already in the area
Scheduling future pickups and building routes efficiently
Working the scale and coordinating yard flow
Ensuring all drivers and buyers leave early prepared and organized each morning
Making sure all routes are fully built and uploaded the day prior so mornings run smoothly without scrambling

This position starts at $1200 per week with quarterly performance bonuses based on results.
