Financial Analyst - San Francisco

Salary Range: $90000 - $130000 annually depending on experience and qualifications.


What youll be responsible for:

The selected candidate for the Financial Analyst role will drive financial planning analysis and strategic decision-making across the organization. You will translate financial data into actionable business insights and support leadership in resource allocation and growth initiatives. You will:

  • Lead financial planning and analysisbudgeting forecasting variance analysis and performance tracking
  • Build financial models that support strategic initiatives investment decisions and scenario planning
  • Analyze business performance metrics and surface insights that drive operational and strategic decisions
  • Partner with business leaders across functions to understand drivers of financial performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Prepare executive-level reporting and presentations that communicate financial results trends and recommendations
  • Support strategic projectsM&A analysis pricing strategy market sizing or business case development
  • Design and refine financial processes reporting frameworks and dashboards that improve visibility and efficiency


Youll be a strong match if you have:

  • 1-3 years in consulting (MBB Big 4 or boutique firms) with exposure to financial analysis business case development or valuation work
  • Strong financial modeling skills (i.e. you build sophisticated models in Excel and can stress-test assumptions and scenarios)
  • Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes including budgeting forecasting variance analysis and performance reporting
  • The ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights and recommendations for non-finance stakeholders
  • Analytical rigor combined with business judgment (i.e. you know when precision matters and when directional insight is sufficient)
  • Proficiency with financial systems and tools (ERP systems BI platforms SQL or Python is a plus)
