- Provide first- second- and third-level technical support for engineering systems software and hardware platforms.
- Diagnose troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to industrial automation embedded systems or mechanical/electrical engineering equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D manufacturing and field service to identify root causes and implement long-term solutions.
- Document technical issues resolutions and system changes in a centralized knowledge base for future reference and team training.
- Conduct system diagnostics perform software updates and support configuration management for engineering applications.
- Support field engineers and clients with remote and on-site technical assistance ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
- Participate in system testing validation and commissioning activities for new engineering projects.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies industry standards and engineering best practices to continuously improve support processes.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electronics & Communication Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 25 years of proven experience in technical support field service engineering or a similar role within an engineering or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of industrial control systems PLCs SCADA HMI and automation technologies.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues including network connectivity firmware updates and system integration.
- Experience with diagnostic tools multimeters oscilloscopes and other test equipment.
- Familiarity with programming and scripting languages such as Python C or MATLAB is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
