Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior SQL Database Administrator with a strong client-facing profile to join our team as a Principal Consultant. This is a 100% client-facing role that requires a senior-level professional capable of leading technical conversations taking full ownership of solutions and delivering expert database services across on-premise and Azure SQL environments.

You will initially support existing clients and progressively take ownership of up to five client accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a trusted advisor to clients leading technical discussions and solution design.

Design implement and maintain SQL Server databases across on-premise and Azure SQL environments.

Perform performance tuning query optimization and advanced troubleshooting.

Implement and maintain security controls and ensure data integrity.

Design and manage backup recovery and disaster recovery strategies.

Conduct capacity planning and maintain clear technical documentation.

Collaborate closely with development infrastructure and project management teams.

Resolve critical database incidents including participation in on-call support.

Stay current with SQL Server and cloud technology best practices.

Requisitos

Requirements

5 years of experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator.

Proven experience with Azure SQL and on-premise SQL Server environments.

Strong expertise in performance tuning SQL query optimization and troubleshooting.

Demonstrated experience in client-facing roles leading calls and owning solutions.

Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).

Ability to manage multiple client environments simultaneously.

Willingness and availability to participate in an on-call rotation.

Nice to Have

Microsoft certifications (e.g. Azure Database Administrator Associate).

Experience in consulting firms or Managed Service Providers (MSPs).

Prior experience supporting U.S.-based clients.
