Job Summary

Shambaugh & Son is looking for a Fabrication Shop this role you will be responsible for managing the entire facility and all employees ensuring safety is always at the forefront and quality requirements are met while maintaining acceptable productivity levels.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise all facility employees providing guidance and direction to ensure efficient operations.
  • Prioritize a safe work environment enforce safety procedures and maintain rigorous quality control standards
  • Ensure all operations comply with internal and industry standards (e.g. NFPA 13 7.5.2.4.8).
  • Oversee daily production schedules and workload
  • Monitor production output maintain inventory and consumables and identify opportunities for continuous process improvement
  • Be involved in quality checks ensuring all fabrication equipment is maintained in optimal working condition to minimize downtime.
  • Enforcecompany procedures and disciplinary policies
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience in production or manufacturing is preferred with specific experience in managing a team
  • Familiarity with fabrication equipment SOPs and relevant industry standards (e.g. NFPA 13)
  • Knowledgeable of daily production and scheduling.
  • Ability to identify issues solve problems and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Must have a positive approach to work
  • Strong verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to motivate various individuals to complete the required tasks.
  • Experience training employees who have different learning methods.
  • Regular and reliable attendance including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
