The Public Health Programmes Coordinator is responsible for the operational development and forward planning of health promotion and improvement programmes addressing health inequalities and wider determinants of health. The role will ensure services are efficient effective and meet agreed objectives and outcomes. Supporting the management team with the end to end processes of health improvement programme development such as needs assessment insight gathering design delivery and monitoring and evaluation is a key function of the role.

About You

To apply for this post you must:

  • Lead on the development of health improvement interventions and programmes of work working with senior management key stakeholders and organisations.
  • Have strong organisational skills with the ability to work on own initiative and within delegated responsibility
  • Effectively negotiate and influence key stakeholders and generate sustained engagement to work effectively in partnership and address identified population health needs within assigned remit of work.
  • Analyse data effectively to inform service provision ensuring assets are used where they are needed most.
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or have demonstrable experience
  • Effectively communicate vision and actions for each area of work to allow partners to effectively engage support and progress each area.
  • Work closely with public health management team including public health consultants and commissioned services on programmes/projects linked to improving population health ensuring joined and cohesive working.

You must also have an understanding of and commitment toequality diversity and inclusion.
