Job Description:
Lighthouse Behavioral Wellness Centers is looking for a Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) to join our in Ardmore Outpatient Clinic who embodies the agency core values of Hope Dedication and Community.
- The RSS provides peer support services based on an individualized recovery-focused service philosophy that allows individuals the opportunity to manage their own recovery and advocacy process.
- The RSS will work to enhance the development of natural supports coping skills and other skills necessary for individuals served to function independently in the community.
- Serves as an advocate and provides information and peer support for consumers in a community setting.
- Performs a wide range of tasks to assist consumers in regaining control of their lives and recovery processes. Must possess the skills to maintain a high level of professional and ethical interactions with consumers and community stakeholders.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Lived experience as a recipient of mental health services.
- Must possess ability to work with the public to maintain an effective working relationship with others and to maintain confidentiality.
- Must obtain RSS certification through ODMHSAS within first 3 months of employment and maintain throughout employment.
