In this pivotal role youll help shape the future of our graduate and combination degree programs by developing and executing innovative recruitment strategies that attract exceptional students and increase enrollment.

The Center for Arts in Medicine is dedicated to advancing the arts in healthcare public health and community creating meaningful change through education research and practice. As part of our team youll play a vital role in connecting passionate students with programs that empower them to make a difference in the field. Youll serve as a trusted resource for prospective students offering guidance on academic programs financial aid and career pathways while supporting faculty and staff throughout the admissions process. Beyond recruitment youll strengthen our community by coordinating alumni engagement initiatives and leading the student mentorship programcreating lasting connections that enrich the student experience.

Responsibilities:

Graduate Student Recruitment

  • Oversees and coordinates all of the day-to-day operational aspects of graduate student recruitment.
  • Coordinates and implements graduate student recruitment efforts for combination degrees and graduate programs.
  • Develops and executes strategies for recruiting students from high schools and combination degree programs.
  • This includes interacting with prospective students running tabling events producing social media content phone calls emails and student group outreach.
  • Coordinates and executes other student recruitment activities on campus and in local state and national communities. Host virtual and in-person information sessions.
  • Analyzes market research trends to inform program creation and engagement while staying current on national trends and best practices in graduate recruitment. Identify appropriate markets for potential Center graduate student recruitment including feeder programs.
  • Engage faculty staff students and alumni in recruitment activities.
  • Works closely with the Center Director and Academic Program Specialist to establish a student recruitment plan and goals that align with the Center and Colleges strategic plans.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for admissions inquiries providing accurate information and excellent customer service.

Graduate Student Admissions

  • Provides information to prospective students faculty and others in areas such as academic programs admissions financial aid and career planning.
  • Assists students in applying to the graduate program.
  • Oversees the processing of applications and records for a variety of programs including admissions.
  • Reviews and updates policies and procedures related to admissions and student enrollment rates.
  • Manage and monitor CAM Admissions email.
  • Coordinate the admissions committee.
  • Assist the Academic Program Specialist and the Graduate Student Advisor as needed.

Alumni and Mentorship Programs

  • Coordinate and maintain alumni newsletters.
  • Oversee distribution planning and analysis of alumni surveys.
  • Create coordinate and implement alumni engagement opportunities (social events webinars guest lecturers social media features etc.).
  • Oversee the Centers student mentorship program.

Schedule:Normal working hours are Monday through Friday 8am 5pm with an hour lunch

CENTER FOR ARTS IN MEDICINE: Housed in the College of the Arts the Center for Arts in Medicine (CAM) is committed to advancing research education and practice in the arts in health locally and globally. The Center facilitates research education and training in the use of the arts to enhance health in healthcare and public health contexts. The Center provides a framework for interdisciplinary collaboration among University of Florida faculty and students healthcare providers clinical artists and our local and global communities. The Center develops and effects interdisciplinary research studies through its two research labs and educational curricula on all levels. The Center serves as a national model for the arts in health research education and training. Preferred:

The successful candidate will meet some of the following

  • 1-2 years of experience in student recruitment and developing a student recruitment plan and partnerships specifically in higher education programs
  • Administrative experience at a large organization
  • Demonstrated aptitude to work independently and on a team
  • Demonstrated aptitude for working toward established performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated capacity for effective recruitment
  • Evidence of skill in designing and facilitating work that advances curiosity respect open intellectual discourse and the welcome incorporation and well-being of all in an environment of complex differences.
