DescriptionPosition Summary:
The Manager of Strategic Initiatives for the Beeson Center provides leadership in planning developing and executing strategic initiatives that advance the Centers mission and long-term objectives. This role works closely with the Executive Director to translate vision into actionable programs and projects coordinate cross-functional efforts and support the Centers growth effectiveness and institutional impact.
Essential Functions (With Key Responsibilities)
Strategic Planning and Initiative Leadership
- Lead the planning development and execution of major strategic initiatives in collaboration with the Executive Director ensuring alignment with the Beeson Centers mission and institutional priorities.
- Translate strategic vision into clearly defined goals project plans timelines and measurable outcomes.
Program and Project Management
- Oversee the development and implementation of new programs resources and initiatives that support ministry leaders and expand the reach of the Beeson Center.
- Establish benchmarks monitor progress and evaluate outcomes to ensure initiatives are delivered with excellence and effectiveness.
- Prepare and present regular reports updates and communications highlighting initiative progress outcomes and impact.
Team and Stakeholder Coordination
- Assist in forming and organizing internal teams around strategic initiatives.
- Provide ongoing coordination guidance and alignment with team leaders to ensure collaborative and mission-focused execution.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts with faculty staff and external partners to support shared goals and timely project completion.
Events and Convenings
- Direct the planning and execution of strategic events workshops and conferences that advance the Beeson Centers mission and engage key audiences.
Partnership Development
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with denominational leaders ministry organizations and external stakeholders to enhance collaboration and strategic partnerships.
Administrative and Operational Oversight
- Provide leadership and direction for the Beeson Centers administrative operations ensuring systems processes and support activities operate efficiently and align with institutional standards.
- Assist with budget planning funding opportunities and resource allocation to maximize the impact of strategic initiatives.
QualificationsRequired/Preferred Skills
- Strong strategic thinking planning and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with senior leadership faculty staff and external partners.
- Strong written and presentation skills including reporting and communication of outcomes.
- Demonstrated alignment with the mission and values of the Beeson Center and Asbury Theological Seminary.
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree required; preferred fields include ministry leadership nonprofit management business or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 35 years of relevant experience in strategic planning administrative or program management environments ministry leadership or a related role.
- Experience working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders in an academic ministry or nonprofit environment preferred.
