About the role
As a Data Research and Analysis Specialist youll play a key role in supporting biodiversity conservation through data preparation systems testing and supporting business requirements. Your day-to-day will involve data remediation working with technical teams to advise on and test systems functions and developing user guidance and support tools. Youll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to improve data sharing maintain system integrity and contribute to business-critical projects. This role combines technical expertise with collaboration helping drive better environmental outcomes across NSW.

Were looking for a Data Research and Analysis Specialist to join the Biodiversity Offsets Scheme (BOS) team at the NSW Department of Climate Change Energy the Environment and Water (DCCEEW). In this role youll help protect NSWs natural environment by turning complex biodiversity data into actionable insights.

Who we are
DCCEEW conserves and protects the states natural environment. It manages the NSW national park estate including its rich and diverse biodiversity and Aboriginal cultural heritage for future generations.
DCCEEW also ensures sustainable management of water resources across the state to support the environment communities and industry.
We acknowledge the ongoing custodial responsibilities of the Aboriginal peoples of NSW to care for Country and water and are committed to establishing meaningful partnerships with Aboriginal peoples in the management of the environment.
