Job Summary

Shambaugh is looking for a Warehouse this role you would be responsible for managing inventory coordinating material logistics and ensuring timely delivery of equipment to job sites. This position is responsible for receiving labeling organizing and tracking fire alarm materials such as panels devices conduit and wiring. The associate works closely with project managers field supervisors clients vendors and procurement teams to stage materials based on project schedules while maintaining warehouse safety and accuracy. This role is essential to keeping field operations efficient organized and well-supplied.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receive inspect and verify deliveries of fire alarm equipment conduit wiring panels devices and tools.
  • Interact / communicate with site personnel regarding delivery schedule and inspection admittance.
  • Label and organize inventory by job number device type or system components to support accurate field deployment.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory log using spreadsheets ERP or warehouse management systems.
  • Stage materials for upcoming job phases based on project schedule and delivery requests.
  • Properly organize material per location and building in accordance with the awarded quantities and bill of materials.
  • Coordinate with project managers and field supervisors to prepare and issue field material kits.
  • Track material usage and returns from job sites ensuring proper handling of surplus or defective items.
  • Handle and store equipment safely including sensitive fire alarm components like smoke detectors special hazard devices panels modules and other material.
  • Perform routine warehouse upkeep such as cleaning organizing and maintaining safety standards.
  • Assist with packaging and shipping of materials to remote job sites or satellite warehouses.
  • Operate forklifts or pallet jacks (certification preferred) to move heavy inventory safely.
  • Maintain tools testing devices and field gear inventory ensuring items are returned and in working condition.
  • Support incoming and outgoing logistics for long-lead items and large bulk deliveries.
  • Document and report damaged or missing materials to procurement or project management teams.
  • Ensure that the material storage is fulfilling the manufacturer guidelines.
  • Assist in periodic cycle counts and full warehouse audits for inventory control.
  • Follow OSHA and company safety standards at all times in the warehouse and during material handling.
  • Follow guidelines from the Operations / Site manager to maintain stock and cost.
  • Fulfill all other duties as assigned and needed between the demand.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED.
  • 3 years of experience in warehousing and inventory industry.
  • Forklift / Telehandler certification is a must.
  • Proper material handling skills and familiar with warehouse / outdoor working conditions.
  • Reliable punctual and safety conscious.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Autodesk Construction Cloud Bluebeam etc.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license with limited violations.
  • Flexible to be available as needed to travel to client sites.
  • OSHA10 certified individuals required.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
  • Regular and reliable attendance including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
