Employment Type: Full-Time/Temp-to-Hire

Pay: $17 -$19 per hour (DOE) plus Night Shift Differential

Position Overview

Legacy Staffing is seeking compassionate and reliable Direct Care Staff on behalf of our client a residential program serving individuals with mental health conditions. This role is essential for providing care supervision and support to residents helping them develop life skills and maintain a safe structured environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with mentally ill populations and a strong commitment to client well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Care & Supervision:

• Provide on-site monitoring and assistance to residents
• Support individualized service plans and daily schedules
• Supervise medication administration per physician instructions
• Conduct room checks and light housekeeping
• Ensure compliance with house rules and provide crisis intervention when needed

Group Activities:

• Assist with organizing and supervising recreational social and cultural activities
• Instruction: Model and teach daily living skills such as personal care budgeting shopping and maintaining an orderly home environment

Transportation:

• Provide transportation for group outings

Meetings & Reporting:

• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
• Maintain client confidentiality and report unusual situations promptly

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of experience providing services to mentally ill or similar populations preferred
• Valid California drivers license reliable vehicle and clean driving record
• Ability to pass health screening TB test and criminal background check including a Live Scan
• Strong communication skills and personal qualities of warmth responsibility and respect
• ASL proficiency preferred but not required

Shifts Available

• Morning & Day Shift Rotation: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM/3:30 PM - 11:30 PM ($17-$18.50)
• Night Shift: 11:30 PM 7:30 AM ($18-$19)
