Job Summary

We have partnered with a manufacturer of aluminum castings in the Clifton NJ area to provide them with a Staff Accountant. Please review the description below and let us know if you are interested.

Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Staff Accountant:

#1. Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance

#2. 0 to 2 years of accounting or finance experience

#3. Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting

#4. Strong Excel skills including reporting and data management

#5. High attention to detail with strong organization and time management skills

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

Assist with preparation and posting of journal entries to the general ledger
Support month end and year end close processes
Perform account reconciliations including prepaid expenses receivables accruals and intercompany accounts
Maintain and update accounting records and supporting documentation
Assist with preparation and organization of documentation for external audits
Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and GAAP standards
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accuracy of financial data
Support financial reporting and ad hoc reporting as needed

Requirements of the Staff Accountant:

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
0 to 2 years of accounting or finance experience
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
High attention to detail with strong organization and time management skills
Experience with ERP systems such as Epicor or similar accounting software
Familiarity with advanced Excel functions including VLOOKUP and PivotTables
Exposure to financial analysis or reporting

Other Key Requirements:

100% onsite
No sponsorships or visa holders. No Corp-to-Corp.
