Ascot Group is seeking experienced Qualified Carpenter to join our team in Sydney. As a Carpenter you will be responsible for constructing installing and repairing various wooden structures fixtures and fittings. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects working around Greater Sydney.
What youll be doing
- Read and interpret blueprints drawings and specifications to determine project requirements
- Measure cut and assemble wooden components to construct structures such as walls floors roofs and staircases
- Ideally has plastering skills
- Install and repair cabinets shelves doors windows and other wooden fixtures
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete tasks
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as electricians and plumbers to ensure seamless project coordination
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment adhering to all safety protocols
What were looking for
- Proven experience as a Carpenter with a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the industry preferably in commercial work
- Strong technical skills in reading blueprints measuring cutting and assembling wooden components
- Proficiency in the use of power tools and hand tools with a focus on safety
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address challenges on the job
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate effectively with other tradespeople
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organised work environment
- Valid drivers licence and reliable transportation
