Proof Reader

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Since 1984 Lakeshirts has been creating resort apparel that sparks smiles and captures memories. Our Blue 84 brand is a favorite in the Resort market and we are looking for a detail-oriented Proofreader to join our team role is perfect for someone who has a passion for language a keen eye for detail and the ability to ensure that all of our written content is polished accurate and error-free. As a remote Proofreader you will review various content ranging from marketing materials to product descriptions ensuring clarity consistency and accuracy before publication.

SCHEDULE:

Flexible Hours: Work remotely managing your own - Friday 8am - 5pm (or as agreed upon).

PAY:$50 - $60/hour based on experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Review Edit Polish

Proofread and edit written content for accuracy spelling grammar punctuation and clarity across various materials (marketing copy product descriptions internal communications etc.).

Ensure consistency in tone style and branding across all written materials.

Review documents for adherence to company style guides and industry standards.

Collaborate with writers and content creators to suggest improvements or revisions.

Track and document revisions to ensure content accuracy and timely delivery.

Ensure final content is error-free and aligns with Lakeshirts brand voice and message.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Excellent proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

Strong command of grammar punctuation spelling and language conventions.

Familiarity with style guides (e.g. AP Chicago Manual of Style) and editorial best practices.

Experience with a wide range of content types including marketing materials product descriptions and internal documentation.

Ability to ensure consistency in tone style and messaging across multiple projects.

Strong communication skills to collaborate with other team members.

Proficiency in editing software and tools (e.g. Google Docs Microsoft Word etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience as a proofreader editor or similar role.

Background in marketing advertising or communications is a plus.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.

Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
