The team

At NL the HR team consists of two HR Business Partners an HR Generalist a Payroll Specialist a Talent Acquisition Business Partner and three colleagues from Facilities. Together we support approximately 340 employees and ensure a solid HR foundation with a focus on quality engagement and collaboration.

HR is continuously evolving with us. Due to further professionalization of processes and the growth and dynamics of the organization a strong and reliable HR base is this development you play an important role.

Your Opportunity

The HR Generalist supports the HR team in the Careful execution and coordination of HR processes. You are an important first point of contact for employees ensuring that questions requests and changes are handled in a structured and timely this role you will build a strong foundation in HR within an international organization.

What your day will look like

HR-administration

  • Support the onboarding internal movement and offboarding of employees

  • Draft and process contracts and HR documents

  • Maintain and keep personnel files and HR systems up to date

  • Process HR changes (contract updates working hours leave etc.)

  • Assist with absence/leave administration

HR Inbox & Tickets (Jira)

  • Manage the HR inbox and act as the first point of contact for incoming HR questions

  • Record prioritize and follow up on HR tickets in Jira

  • Ensure timely resolution or proper referral to HR Business Partners Payroll or other relevant parties

  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to employees

  • Identify recurring questions or issues and discuss them within the HR team

Employee Support

  • Answer practical HR questions regarding contracts leave policies and processes

  • Guide employees in understanding HR agreements and systems

  • Ensure an accessible and service-oriented HR experience

Collaboration

  • Work closely with Payroll to ensure accurate salary processing

  • Coordinate with Facilities during onboarding and offboarding

  • Support HR Business Partners with daily operational tasks

Learning & Improvement

  • Contribute to HR projects (e.g. onboarding process improvements HR systems)

  • Actively learn about HR legislation policies and internal procedures

  • Provide input on improving HR processes and service delivery

Your Profile

  • Structured and careful in your work

  • Able to keep an overview of multiple questions and tickets simultaneously

  • Customer-oriented and strong communication skills in both Dutch and English

  • Digitally proficient; experience with ticketing systems (such as Jira) is a plus but not required

  • Starters and juniors are very welcome

  • A degree HR is considered a plus.

Location: Leiden (hybrid)

Contract duration: 6-months

Hours: 32 - 40
