CEBE - Civil Engineering and the Green Transition in the Built Environment is a strategic initiative funded by the Villum Foundation that seeks to strengthen research and development of sustainable solutions for the construction sector. The programme will run for 10 years and is a collaboration between University of Southern Denmark (SDU) Aarhus University Aalborg University and Technical University of Denmark (DTU). The main aim of the project is to address the challenges of the construction sector and society in relation to the green transition.
In CEBE researchers will collaborate across the four partner universities alongside international and industrial partners. The aim is to develop new knowledge methods and materials that can reduce the construction industrys climate impact. To address the entire life cycle of the built environment the programme is structured around seven different research areas.

You are ready to meet researchers and external partners and have the desire and ability to engage in discussions at a highly qualified level and argue your case. You will proactively collaborate and coordinate with many different actors both internally at the faculty with other units at SDU and external partners.
Your ability to work in an interdisciplinary and international environment and drive strategic development will be crucial to strengthening our current team.

You will be placed in TEK Innovation (in Odense) which is the research support unit at the Faculty of Engineering. It is expected that you will also spend time within the environment of the scientific manager and thus you will have an additional hot-desk in the Department of Technology and Innovation in which the scientific manager is located.
About TEK Innovation:
The Faculty of Engineering at SDU has 5 departments approx. 600 employees and approx. 3500 students and is located in Odense and Sønderborg. TEK Innovation is the facultys research support and innovation unit. We assist the management and the academic environments in creating and running externally funded research and innovation projects building bridges to the outside world and supporting the strategic development of the faculty. We are an international department with 20 employees and we emphasize knowledge sharing and helping each other with the tasks. Read more about the faculty here.
Salary and terms of employment:
Employment takes place in accordance with the current collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC Circular on the Collective Agreement for Academics in the State. Depending on your qualifications you will be offered a position as a special consultant or chief consultant. Depending on qualifications it will be possible to negotiate supplements. This is a permanentSK1full-time position.
