We are looking for a Senior Bookkeeper responsible for end-to-end general accounting tasks and preparing reviewing and analyzing financial reports. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of Australian bookkeeping and will be an asset to the team. Duties will include but are not limited to keeping and managing records of financial transactions for group companies and general clerical with project-based work.
What Youll Do
- Responsible for preparing BAS IAS bookkeeping procedures and general administrative/ad hoc tasks
- Deliver operating efficiencies relevant to accounting software systems and our practice-managed software XPM.
- Experience using Excel XPM Xero MYOB and QuickBooks.
- Assist with the preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS)
- Assist with the preparation of Installment Activity Statements (IAS)
- Perform regular detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents expenditures and investments that are being worked on
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
- Organize and update financial records as needed (digital)
- Processing work and reconciling with the system payment and receipts accounts payable and receivable
- Outstanding accounting fundamentals and knowledge with debits & credits
- Perform Payroll Tasks as required on MYOB and Xero
Requirements
What You Bring
Were looking for someone who:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or any relevant field CPA is preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in Australian accounting payroll and bookkeeping
- Experience in using MYOB Xero and QuickBooks
- Experience using XPM is a plus
- Working knowledge in GST BAS IAS etc.
- Familiarity with office management procedures and accounting principles
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office Excel One Note and office management and other Business Payroll and Accounting software
- Has a proactive approach to business and technology
- Keen attention to detail extensive knowledge in data entry work bank reconciliations and reporting
- Well organized easily-trained and willing to learn; Good mannered
- Excellent written and verbal English communication and interpersonal skills
