Per Mar Security is seeking a candidates to be available as a flex security officer. Flex security officers assist with site coverage for call-offs vacations and temporary openings.
The ideal candidate would preferably be based out of Bloomington with some coverage for the Champaign Springfield and Peoria areas as well. Mileage reimbursement is offered for travel outside of the Bloomington Metro area at a rate of $0.58 CPM. Must have the availability and flexibility to cover an array of schedules and work sites. Most will be 1st or 2nd shifts.
Pay is a $23.00/hr. flat rate for all work locations. This position has a guaranteed minimum of 20 hours paid-per-week regardless of whether that threshold is met.
A valid drivers license as well as reliable transportation required.
PERC is desired but not required. We can assist in obtaining a license.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor campus to prevent theft violence or infractions of rules
- Thoroughly examine doors windows and gates to ensure proper function and security.
- Warn violators of campus rules regulations and policies.
- Address issues regarding suspicious or criminal acts
- Report any facility issues to the appropriate department.
- Request emergency personnel for high risk situations
- Other duties as assigned by site supervisor.
Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older
- Familiarity with security equipment
- Ability to handle physical duties of the position.
- Strong attention to detail
- Must possess the values important to Per Mar Security Integrity Communication Excellent Service and Accountability.
- Must be willing to participate in the Companys pre-employment screening process including drug screen and background investigation.
