The Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Enterprise AI team a group dedicated to building custom conversational AI agent solutions for Podiums largest customers. This team extends Podiums core AI agent platform which handles millions of customer interactions monthly across text and voice. Youll lead and grow the team balancing rapid custom solution delivery with building reusable platform capabilities. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where youll own the full lifecycle from customer requirements through architecture deployment and production supportdirectly impacting revenue through enterprise customer success.
What Youll Do
- Lead & Scale Enterprise AI Team Manage and grow engineering teams focused on core platform components such as developer tooling infrastructure abstraction and shared services.
- Drive AI Agent Reliability & Performance Ensure conversational AI systems across text and voice channels deliver high accuracy low latency and production reliability for enterprise workloads at scale.
- Deliver Enterprise AI Solutions & Inform Platform Partner with Sales Customer Success and customers to scope and deliver custom AI solutions; collaborate with Product Engineering to extract learnings into reusable platform capabilities.
- Technical Strategy & Roadmap Define and execute a roadmap that balances custom enterprise AI solution delivery with building platform capabilities that enable faster future delivery.
- Mentor & Develop Talent Hire and grow the team mentor senior engineers and maintain a high-performance culture with customer-facing engineers.
- Be Hands-On Contribute code to production systems and actively participate in architecture design reviews code reviews and critical technical decisions alongside your senior engineering team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with Security SRE Product and GTM partners to align platform efforts with business needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with Sales Customer Success Product and engage directly with enterprise customer technical teams and stakeholders.
What Were Looking For
- 2 years of engineering management experience with hands-on technical leadership; comfortable working directly on architecture and technical decisions with senior engineers who need less day-to-day management.
- Deep technical expertise building and scaling production AI systems with a strong understanding of reliability performance and customer-facing deployments.
- Proven success delivering AI solutions for customers with experience shipping custom conversational AI agent solutions integrating with enterprise systems and extracting reusable patterns for future efficiency.
- Proven ability to lead high-performing teams through complex challenges in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset. You can align technical roadmaps with business outcomes.
- Experience with hiring mentoring and developing engineering talent.
Bonus: Experience with LLM deployment AI agent frameworks (LangGraph) agent evaluations multi-turn agent orchestration LLM observability/monitoring fine-tuning or building AI platforms.
