Overview:

The Accounting Intern will be involved in various financial accounting tasks involving extracting data from SAP and analyzing the results. These tasks will cover a range of topics such as Fixed Assets Raw Material and WIP Inventory Product Costing and General Accounting. This will involve interaction with Controller and various managers within the manufacturing plant.

Position Description

• Review of BOMs Routers associated with product costing.
• Downloading Fixed Asset reports from SAP into excel. Reviewing the asset register by cost center and interacting with department managers to determine whether assets are still in service or have been damaged/impaired.
• Participating in walk around audits with controller to determine if asset tags are missing and/or additional asset tags are needed. Coordinate tag requests thru HQ and apply tags locally.
• Downloading warehouse cycle counts reports from SAP into Excel. Auditing records in SAP to determine whether adequate supporting documentation has been attached to the SAP counts. Summarizing results and distributing to controller and warehouse manager.
• Assist controller in developing product costing models outside of SAP for new products.
• Assist controller in performing various HQ reconciliations.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Key Attributes

• Requires confidence in using Microsoft Word and Excel tools.
• Requires Enthusiasm motivation initiative and ability to work within an interactive and energetic workplace.
• Review process procedures change orders equipment specifications validation plans and reports.
• Performs research on technology equipment and tooling to improve process quality yield or cost. Generates proposals based on research.
• Assistance in creating reviewing and maintaining department files.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience Required for the Position:

• Enrolled in Bachelors degree in Finance or Business or related degree.
• Working knowledge of Excel required.
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
• Flexibility to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment working with multiple team members.

The hourly wage range Werfen reasonably expects to pay for the position is $21 to $26. Compensation is reasonably based upon multiple factors including education relevant experience skillset knowledge and specific needs of the business.
